What maximum length of extension cord can be used before losing power?

100ft. If more than 1 cord is used, expect a loss of 5 watts per connection. - Updated: July 19, 2000

How do you operate the Little Wonder Electric Hedge Trimmer without cutting the cord?

Loop the electric cord through your belt on the right or left side of your pants. Leave only enough cord from the trimmer to the front of the loop - it will to allow you to reach out with the trimmer.
This will help reduce the risk of cutting the cord.
Additionally, the cord retention system on our new Electric Hedge Trimmers prevents the extension cord from disconnecting.

My Little Wonder Electric Trimmer seems to be running slower than when first purchased; what could be wrong?

1) Check for sap build-up on the blades. To remove sap build-up, soak the blades in #10 light oil.

2) Check all adjustment screws on the blade. Refer to FAQ "How do you adjust blades" for Instructions.

3) Check for splices in the electric cord. Each splice increases electrical resistance and reduces the efficiency of the unit. Replace a spliced cord with a new cord and the blade speed will run like new. - Updated: July 19, 2000

How do you sharpen blades?

Recommend it to be done by a professional. Blades must be removed to sharpen and must be sharpened on a 38º angle by sander or sharpening stone. Do not sharpen the flat side of the blade. - Updated: July 19, 2000

How do you remove sap build up on blades?

We recommend using only #10 light oil.

How do you adjust blades?

1) Place trimmer in vise, clamping on the frame bar. Be careful; the blades are sharp!
2) Use a 7/16" wrench, loosen all blade locknuts and unscrew large head screws by two turns.
3) Starting with screw nearest gear housing, tighten screw until blade guard of Single Edged trimmer or the protective comb of the Double Edged trimmer can just be moved with finger pressure and a .0015" (1 ½ thou.) feeler blade just slips under the blade guard or comb. Tighten locknuts while holding screw stationary in its correct adjusted position
4) Repeat Step 3 on screws in turn, until all are correctly adjusted.
Note: Correct blade adjustment can only be achieved on clean, oiled blades.

What oil is recommended for blades?

We recommend using #10 light oil.
